The launch has been marked with cent.ldn’s handcrafted ceramic candle masterpiece, inspired by La Pasión
Luxury Guatemalan Zacapa Rum has announced the release of La Pasión - The Passion Cask, as the fourth and final edition to the exquisite limited-edition series that completes The Heavenly Cask Collection.
Created by Zacapa Master Blender, Lorena Vázquez, La Pasión – The Passion Cask - is a celebration of the unique Pedro Ximénez sherry cask used during the Solera System ageing process. A unique process which includes a multitude of cask types and styles carefully selected by Lorena, to capture specific flavours and textures, as well as the perfect colour.
As part of the launch of La Pasión - The Passion Cask, London based candle artisans cent.ldn have its first-ever handcrafted ceramic bespoke candle. Each candle is 1 of only 50 created, making this an exclusive and collectable piece which has been gifted to Zacapa’s VIP network. The inspiration for this artistic piece has been drawn from the La Pasión - The Passion Cask liquid to curate a candle that will create an immersive, indulgent moment.
These beautiful candles transcend the ordinary and allow people to have a unique piece of Zacapa displayed to elevate their home for the first time (and could be a sign of more pieces to come...). The combination of a fruity scent contrasted with the wood smell reflects the mahogany colour of La Pasión - The Passion Cask, but also the sweetness in scent of the liquid; including notes of raspberry, peach, strawberry and pineapple which sit on saffron, jasmine, amber, musk and woods, with a burn time of 65 hours.
The ceramic for each of the 50 candles was carefully crafted by cent.ldn’s celebrated master ceramics designer Kayleigh Peters. Kayleigh’s work has been exhibited most recently with Cluster Crafts in London, and her work was also selected for the LSM Art Award 2022.
Bottled at 40% ABV and with a RRP of £75 / €80 for 70cl, Zacapa La Pasión – The Passion Cask will be available in selected markets including Italy, Spain, Greece, Germany, the Nordics, Benelux, Switzerland, Poland, Guatemala, México and Central America from November.
